Secor Scholarship Application
This $2,000 renewable scholarship was established as a memorial to the generosity of the Steven and Doris Secor bequest. It is awarded to a high school senior or high school graduate living in Findlay or Hancock County who plans to attend an accredited institution of higher learning to pursue any undergraduate field of study, full time in the subsequent academic year. The candidate must exhibit a strong emphasis on volunteerism, community service and service-learning which will be evaluated through his/he leadership, character, and service experience.
Application
Please have the following items ready to upload before completing this application: School Activity Log, Community Service Log, Faith-based Service Log, Additional Service Log. These logs can be simple Word documents listing dates, activities and positions held. Also be sure to have three people for references, with two emails for each person. These references can be from teachers, guidance counselors, coaches, agency representatives, employers or faith-based contacts. It is also advised that you craft a 400 word essay prior to completing this form. Then simply cut and paste into the field for submission. Deadline 5 p.m. on December 1.

Provide three service references and a work and personal e-mail addresses for each so that we can send them an electronic reference form. We ask for two e-mail addresses because some workplaces and schools block forms. If tow email addresses are not available, place the same email in both boxes. Provide a reference for each category. Your references are weighed heavily in the selection process. Remember, when selecting references choose those who will give clear, concise information based on the appropriate category.
